Keeping pubs and clubs clean - discouraging drug dealers and users

The dog passive searches for amphetamines Cocaine, Cannabis, Rohypnol, the handler has worked with various police forces in both covert and narcotic detection dog operations within pubs and clubs throughout the country.

The dogs can Queue screen which involves the dog walking up and down the queue searching customers before they enter the venue, while doing this the dog is helping to discourage drug dealers and users from entering the premises, Also this send out a positive message to the public that the licensee is taking active steps to ensure the venue is as safe as possible for them to enjoy their night out.

Toilet checks , toilets are one of the prime areas where drug use & dealing occurs, this is because they cannot be monitored at all times and when inside a cubicle there is no monitoring at all. It is very common to find drug residue & drug litter behind the toilets, in the cistern, & tucked inside the toilet roll.

Venue sweep after closing, the dog will work off lead and search the whole premises. This can be very informative to the licensee as it will help them to see if there are any hotspots where the dog indicates areas where there are drugs present and also where drugs have been used which can lead to closer monitoring of those areas in the future.

Staff areas, the dog can be used to follow up any concerns the management may have regarding staff.
